Earlier this year, Emersons Green Primary School approached the Town Council seeking support to help expand its cycle and scooter storage facilities. The school had secured grant funding but needed additional resources to complete the project and provide more spaces for pupils travelling sustainably.
As it happened, the Town Council owned a cycle shelter that was larger than our requirements. Rather than seeing it go underused, we were delighted to donate and relocate the shelter to the school, where it could make a real difference.
Installed before the summer holidays, the shelter now provides additional secure storage for bikes and scooters, helping to encourage active travel while making the best use of an existing community asset.
We’re proud to have been able to support the project and look forward to seeing the shelter well used for many years to come by pupils choosing to cycle, scoot and travel actively to school.
