Litter Champions

We are proud to announce the launch of the Litter Champions initiative, supported by the Town Council and South Gloucestershire Council. Together, we aim to create a cleaner, greener neighbourhood that we can all take pride in.

A Litter Champion is a local hero dedicated to keeping our neighbourhood clean and beautiful. By adopting a small stretch of our community, you commit to keeping it litter-free, ensuring a cleaner environment for everyone to enjoy. Litter picking is also a great way to get outdoors, boost mental health, wellbeing and self-esteem.

You are welcome to pick on your own, as and when you have time, in groups, or even with your children, all are welcome.

Commit to Clean: Pledge to keep your adopted area litter-free by regularly picking up litter.

Gear Up: We’ll provide you with all the necessary equipment, including hoops, litter pickers,  bags, and gloves to make your clean-up efforts easy and effective.

Dispose Responsibly: Once you’ve collected litter, simply place it next to any public litter bin. The Council will collect it when the bin is next emptied.

Spread the Word: Encourage your friends, family, and neighbours to join the Litter Champions initiative and help create a cleaner, healthier community for all. Share in the WhatsApp groups you have for schools, your road, gyms, sprots clubs – the more the merrier.
