Please be aware of a temporary road closure affecting parts of Hicks Avenue and Emerson Way from 27 October 2026 for essential manhole cover repair works being carried out by the highway authority.
Affected roads:
Hicks Avenue – from the junction with Emerson Way to the junction with Hill Close.
Emerson Way – from the junction with Youngs Court to the junction with Guest Avenue.
The closure is expected to be in place for up to 5 days, although works may be completed sooner if possible. The restrictions are necessary to protect road users, contractors and the highway during the repairs.
Signed diversion routes:
Hicks Avenue: via Thomas Avenue and Emerson Way
Emerson Way: via Westerleigh Road and the A4174 Ring Road.
Please allow extra time for your journeys and plan ahead where possible.
