Welcoming Our New Youth Liaison Officer: Shea Stew
We are delighted to welcome Shea Stew as the newest member of our team, stepping into the role of Youth Liaison Officer. With a deep passion for youth development and a proven track record of empowering young people to reach their full potential, Shea brings a vibrant mix of energy, creativity, and experience to our organisation.
Shea joins us with over 20 years of firsthand experience working with young people through a variety of programs and community initiatives. Most recently, he played a key role at Young Bristol, where he was instrumental in delivering impactful youth engagement strategies – notably through an innovative mobile youth bus. His work helped foster inclusive environments and led projects that have inspired and empowered countless young people across the region.
In his new role, Shea will take the lead on developing and delivering youth programs, with a strong focus on youth voice, sustainable growth, and community impact. He is especially enthusiastic about launching a new long-term project centred around equipping others with the skills to engage communities effectively – ensuring that this important work continues to grow and evolve for years to come.
As a creative thinker and natural connector, Shea sees his greatest strength in his ability to engage with young people. His goal is to pass on these skills to help develop high-quality youth workers and programmes that can make a lasting difference in our parish and beyond.
When asked about joining the team, Shea shared:
“I am excited to be part of an organisation that truly values the power of youth. I look forward to working alongside such a dedicated team and, most importantly, connecting with young people to help create spaces where they can thrive, grow, and lead.”
Please join us in giving Shea a very warm welcome as he begins this exciting new chapter with us. We are confident he will be a fantastic addition to the team and make a lasting and positive impact in our community.
