SUMMARY:Autumn Gathering
DESCRIPTION:Seed Swap – how does it work? \nOn the Seed Swap table\, the seeds are placed in boxes by type of seed\, eg annual flowers\, wildflowers\, perennial flowers\, and vegetable seeds as brassicas\, roots\, peas\, and beans etc.  If you have seeds to donate\, just place them in the appropriate box.  Help yourself to the seeds you would like to take.  If you haven’t any seeds to donate\, then feel free to help yourself to seeds and then give a donation in the bowl on the table. \nIf you are bringing seeds they can be part or full packets.  Make sure they are still in date.  If they are seeds you have collected yourself\, note the type of seed and date collected on the envelope or packet. \nPlant swap – how does it work \nThis is a good time of year to split perennials and dig out excess plants from the garden.  Why not put them in a plant pot and bring them along to swap?  The plant swap works just like the seed swap.  You bring along plants that you want to share and take away plants that you would like to grow.  If you would like to take plants\, but have no plants to share\, please make a donation to the bowl on the plant table. \nIt’s a good idea to label the plant and add any useful information such as the conditions best for the plant. \nDonations will go towards the costs of the event. \n  \nWould you like to help at the Autumn Gathering? \nSunday 22nd October\, 2.00 – 4.30pm  Emersons Green Village Hall. \nThese are some of the ways you might help: \n\nWelcoming people\nExplaining how the seed and plant swap works\nServing drinks and cakes\nHelping with crafts\nHelping with apple pressing\nClearing up at the end of the afternoon\n\nIf you would like to help\, or have any questions\, please email  bobbie.sunderland@emersonsgreen-tc.gov.uk

DESCRIPTION:Description\n\n\n\nA free\, creative programme for young people in Bristol aged between 5 – 11 years and in receipt of benefits-related Free School Meals.  Please share this poster with your friends. \nBooking\nHAF – Registration Page | Unique Voice \nActivities \nChildren will be taking part in performing arts\, games\, crafts and outdoor play.  All activities are designed to increase confidence\, social emotional development and of course play!  Children are provided with a free lunch and snacks each day.  Places are free and fully funded by South Gloucestershire and Bristol City Council.  Sessions are delivered by skilled\, DBS checked UV team members.  Unfortunately at this time\, we are unable to support children who require 1:1 support at our Programmes. \n\n\n\nLocation\n\n\n\nProgrammes are based in Eastville\, Little Stoke\, Lockleaze\, Hillfields\, Mangotsfield\, Patchway and Withywood – Please refer to the poster for all dates

SUMMARY:EARTHfest
DESCRIPTION:Earthfest is on Saturday 1st July from 10.00 am to 4.00pm in Emersons Green Park and celebrates our relationship with the earth with music\, nature walks\, workshops\, stalls  and refreshments.   The festival parade assembles in the Langley Car Park at 9.30am and sets off at 10.00am. The Community Nature Reserve will be hosting the smaller of the two large tents\, near the Library.   We will be running a Birdbox Building Workshop at 11am and an Insect House Building workshop at 2pm.  the workshops are bookable on Eventbrite.  Nature Walks are also bookable in advance too.  \n\n\n\nHere is the link to the programme and tickets for bookable events. \n\n\n\nWould you like to help at Earthfest? The Festival is hosted by Friends of Emersons Green Park and supported by Emersons Green Town Council and South Glos.  There’s plenty to do from helping set up to serving drinks\, selling plants\, helping  in the workshops or clearing up at the end of the afternoon.   \n\n\n\nA detailed list of ways to help can be found here.   \n\n\n\nIf you would like to help please contact Bobbie.Sunderland@emersonsgreen-tc.gov.uk and let me know which activity and which time slot you would like to offer.

DESCRIPTION:Join us in celebrating our new community nature reserve\n\n\n\nWould you like to open your garden to let others see your garden and learn what you are doing to encourage wildlife? The event will be held by Emersons Green Town Council (EGTC)\, in partnership with Emersons Green Village Hall (EGVH). \n\n\n\nOur aim is to deliver a safe and enjoyable ‘Family Fun Day’ style event for the residents of Emersons Green. This will consist of a series of activities and entertainment\, centred around a family picnic area in EGP\, decorated with Union Jack flags and bunting. \n\n\n\nDownload Your Copy of Our Event Map Here \n\n\n\nThis event is subject to the weather. So\, please keep an eye out here\, or follow us on social media to be kept up to date. Alternatively\, sign up to our mailing list at the bottom of this page and we’ll send you the latest information. If the weather is inclement\, most activities will take place at EGVH instead. Whatever the weather\, please come prepared. For example\, sunglasses\, sun cream\, and a bottle of water for a hot day. \n\n\n\nWhatever happens\, please arrive on foot or using public transport. \n\n\n\nCar parking is not available\, and nearby car parks are likely to be very busy. To avoid injury\, please dismount from your bicycle. \n\n\n\nFood\, drinks and toilets will be available\, along with a host of entertainment. See the map above. \n\n\n\nPlease supervise your children. This could be a busy place\, so please put your name and mobile number in your child’s pocket\, and take a photo of your child before you arrive.
