SUMMARY:EARTHfest
DESCRIPTION:Earthfest is on Saturday 1st July from 10.00 am to 4.00pm in Emersons Green Park and celebrates our relationship with the earth with music\, nature walks\, workshops\, stalls  and refreshments.   The festival parade assembles in the Langley Car Park at 9.30am and sets off at 10.00am. The Community Nature Reserve will be hosting the smaller of the two large tents\, near the Library.   We will be running a Birdbox Building Workshop at 11am and an Insect House Building workshop at 2pm.  the workshops are bookable on Eventbrite.  Nature Walks are also bookable in advance too.  \n\n\n\nHere is the link to the programme and tickets for bookable events. \n\n\n\nWould you like to help at Earthfest? The Festival is hosted by Friends of Emersons Green Park and supported by Emersons Green Town Council and South Glos.  There’s plenty to do from helping set up to serving drinks\, selling plants\, helping  in the workshops or clearing up at the end of the afternoon.   \n\n\n\nA detailed list of ways to help can be found here.   \n\n\n\nIf you would like to help please contact Bobbie.Sunderland@emersonsgreen-tc.gov.uk and let me know which activity and which time slot you would like to offer.

DESCRIPTION:Join us in celebrating our new community nature reserve\n\n\n\nWould you like to open your garden to let others see your garden and learn what you are doing to encourage wildlife? It just involves being available to welcome people into your garden.  You might want to show them around or let them explore by themselves.  \n\n\n\n\n\n\nDate & Time\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nLocation\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nOrganiser\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPlease share our poster with your friends \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nYou can tell them about what you are doing for wildlife or simply be available to answer questions.  Some people like to put signs up to highlight certain things they have done to encourage wildlife. \n\n\n\nIt is recommended that visitors should not access the house and advertising for the event will make it clear that we cannot provide parking or toilets.  \n\n\n\nThe event will be advertised in the local area and a map of participating gardens is available: click here.  \n\n\n\nIf you would like your garden to be part of the Garden Open Day please email bobbie.sunderland@emersonsgreen-tc.gov.uk \n\n\n\nIf you are interested but have questions\, please also get in touch. DESCRIPTION:When & Location \n\n\n\nDate & Time\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nLocation\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nOrganiser\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nJoin us in celebrating the King’s CoronationFREE FAMILY FUN\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPicnic in the Park is a newly established event to celebrate the Coronation of His Majesty the King. The event will be held by Emersons Green Town Council (EGTC)\, in partnership with Emersons Green Village Hall (EGVH). \n\n\n\nOur aim is to deliver a safe and enjoyable ‘Family Fun Day’ style event for the residents of Emersons Green. This will consist of a series of activities and entertainment\, centred around a family picnic area in EGP\, decorated with Union Jack flags and bunting. \n\n\n\nDownload Your Copy of Our Event Map Here \n\n\n\nThis event is subject to the weather. So\, please keep an eye out here\, or follow us on social media to be kept up to date. Alternatively\, sign up to our mailing list at the bottom of this page and we’ll send you the latest information. If the weather is inclement\, most activities will take place at EGVH instead. Whatever the weather\, please come prepared. For example\, sunglasses\, sun cream\, and a bottle of water for a hot day. \n\n\n\nWhatever happens\, please arrive on foot or using public transport. \n\n\n\nCar parking is not available\, and nearby car parks are likely to be very busy. To avoid injury\, please dismount from your bicycle. \n\n\n\nFood\, drinks and toilets will be available\, along with a host of entertainment. See the map above. \n\n\n\nPlease supervise your children. This could be a busy place\, so please put your name and mobile number in your child’s pocket\, and take a photo of your child before you arrive.
